Douglas holds a BSBA from Columbia College and started his careen in the cable television industry. He has held many field operations and training positions with various companies in the telecommunications industry such as Dakota County Technical College, NCTI, Rogers Communications, and CenturyLink. Building on early outside plant cable and fiber optic experience, he has been with the local telecom division of CenturyLink (Sprint/Embarq) since 1995 working on remote digital loop carrier training development, and ADSL deployment. Moving from the deployment group to product development, he has been involved in many new technology trials for CPE and distribution platforms. He is currently involved with the product development group working on advanced gateway/connected home and IPTV projects.
